Great post as always. It would be helpful know what AF area you had set? Was it center? Wide area? Thanks! It was set to Wide. Thanks for your response Dave. I haven’t done any serious testing on the AF on the a6300 yet (I’m still shooting with Canon lenses) but often with wide AF it will front focus as the camera is usually trying to focus on the nearest object. It would be good to see the results of this test with center or spot AF. I have the 70-200 2.8 GM for rental for a shoot beginning on Friday. I’m excited to see how the AF performs with the 6300 and this lens. Thanks, in the next test I will use the center or spot AF area.
