Are you interested in shooting video with your DSLR, but not sure where to start? This course will get you up to speed quickly. Get instant access to this course now. This is a beginner level course, and it is prerequisite for more advanced courses to come. This course covers the camera in great detail (everything video related in the manual and more), but it does not cover items sold separately from the camera, editing, rendering and photography features.
The manual for the T5i/700D has 386 pages, but unfortunately Canon's manuals are biased towards photography and leave a lot to be desired when it comes to video. This training course fills in those gaps. The true value of this course is saving you weeks if not months of time testing your camera to get the best results.
Who is the course for? People that have never owned a Canon DSLR before, or people that have had their camera for a while but never shot video. Or, this course is great for people who have not tested all the different settings. You will be able to see how all those settings affect your videos.
Level: Beginner

"Just a quick note to say thank you for your training video on the Rebel T5i. I just got around to browsing your site and watching the bonus videos as well, and I appreciate your time and effort in creating such helpful videos for a beginning dslr video user as myself." Todd
"I have been watching your YouTube Channel for sometime and have expressed my desire to purchase a DSLR Camera to my family. Yesterday, I got my first DSLR Canon T5i for Father's Day. I immediately purchased your tutorial video and parked it front of my computer for the entire time. Now, I am practicing all the things in your tutorial. First, thank you for such a detailed tutorial. I knew nothing about DSLRs and I feel like I know a lot more now thanks to you. I really liked the video of when you put the camera to work and filmed that little suspense clip. It did really put everything together." - Steve
"A huge thanks for the thorough T5i training! It has saved me a ton of time, headaches and mistakes. I feel like I know the camera inside and out. I'm a long time video producer/director who is just now getting into DSLR video. Your videos were the best $40 I've spent. Thanks!" - David
"Thanks for the Canon 700D course. It was very clear and understandable. Even for a dutchman. Will follow some additional courses for sure." Rolf
"I bought your course about the 700D and I love it." Roland
"Hello Dave. Just completed your course on the Canon 700D. Very helpful and insightful course explained simply. I'm new to DSLRs and primarily want to use for video here in the UK. Your course has helped me to get plenty of vital info into my head and most importantly it has achieved it quickly. Your easy-to-watch style also makes it enjoyable as well as educational to follow. Will recommend! In fact, I just have :-) gadgets and wheels."
Above in the Table of Contents you will see at least one free video in the course so you can try it out before you buy.

No waiting for DVD's to arrive in the mail, start watching instantly with streaming videos or if you like you can download them for viewing on a laptop, mobile device, or iPad outside the area of an internet connection. I have rendered these video files to be the highest quality while allowing for fast downloads and streaming.
Only video related items.
How to set up your camera for video.
Basically everything in the manual that relates to video plus more info that the manual neglects to mention.
The Canon manuals can be very cookie cutter and are biased towards photography and do not cover video as well as they do with photography, in this course I will fill that void.
Photography information such as exposure compensation, the flash unit, RAW image files, etc..
This course does not cover how to edit, render/export your files, this is mostly a prerequisite course for more advanced courses to come. This is for people that have never owned a DSLR before or are interested in shooting video.
I will not cover items sold separately from the camera. For example, while I will cover all the ways you can focus in movie mode, I am not going to cover items sold separately like a follow focus and how to use them for video.
